Soothing instrumental music plays in the background. The furniture is simple and comfortable, wooden tables with cushioned chairs, and the lighting is dim and relaxing. Large windows offer panoramic views of the surrounding hills, even a distant view of Kanchenjunga on a clear day. The chugging and whistle of the toy train as it happily rolls down to and fro in front of the hotel is a most enchanting experience of old -world charm.
